Criminal Ring!

I love a good thriller or crime novel and always have! As a child, I revelled in The Famous Five, Nancy Drew and the Bobsey Twins, graduating to Agatha Christie when I was around 12 years old. Nowadays, it’s the likes of Peter James, Jo Nesbo, R J Ellory, C L Taylor, Penny Hancock, Liz Nugent who enthral me – I’ve enjoyed all their latest books over recent months, immersing myself in the story, trying to second guess the author as I navigate my way through unexpected twists and turns in their invariably well-carfted plots.

National Crime Reading Month

So I’m very excited to learn that this year’s National Crime Reading Month, an initiative originally devised by the Crime Writers’ Association (CWA), is being supported by a wide range of authors who are holding events throughout the UK in the month of June in libraries, book shops, literature festivals and other venues up and down the country.

Crime writers and CWA members from all over the country, including Frances Brody, R C Bridgestock, Stephen Booth and Barbara Nadel are holding talks, book signings, discussions and even a murder mystery evening (R C Bridgestock, at Brighouse, West Yorkshire, June 17).
