Oh, we do love a Milly Johnson book at Christmas! Our Fiction Ed, Claire, has selected some of her favourite festive releases, and over the next 12 days we’ll share them with you. Each author will read a short extract, so sit back and enjoy!

I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day by Milly Johnson

It’s the eve of Christmas Eve and six people are making journeys north when heavy snow forces them off their path and into the tiny Yorkshire village of Figgy Hollow, where a deserted inn offers shelter.

There’s Bridge and Luke, once married but now meeting up to sign their divorce papers after several years of bitter wrangling; Charlie and Robin, long term recently-married partners whose planned trip to Aviemore hides a secret heartache, and finally Jack and Mary, the businessman and his PA whose meeting has been scuppered, along with Mary’s hopes of kindling a romance with her adored boss.

With no prospect of making their onwards journeys, they must work together to make Christmas Day special, but will each reach a resolution before the snow melts and they have to go their separate ways?

A story of love and friendship; about learning when to hold on and when to let go. Perfect to cosy up with this winter!

Milly Johnson introduces us to two of her characters, Bridge and Luke…
