A Mayday Call From The RNLI

RNLI cap and tshirt

RNLI lifesavers have been answering Mayday calls for almost 200 years, but with more people predicted to get into danger in the water this year, it’s the charity who are putting out their own Mayday call. Could you swim, run, cycle or dance to help this vital lifesaving service?

In preparation for the busy summer period, the RNLI are putting out their own urgent Mayday call, by asking supporters to kick off their summer and be a lifesaver by signing up to The Mayday Mile.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to run a marathon, they are only asking you to cover one mile in any way you please between Sunday May 1 and Tuesday May 31. You can swim it, run it, cycle it, dance it, or walk it – or why not come up with something even more creative and get your friends to join in, too?  As long as you covmplete one mile, you can cover the distance in any way you like.

Sign up here…

All the details you’ll need to join The Mayday Mile are here, and fundraising T-shirts and caps are available from the RNLI shop for £15 each, with all proceeds going to the RNLI.
